Why a 501 (c) (3)?

The significance of nonprofits is that they play a vital role in building vibrant communities by providing critical services that contribute to stability and mobility. Gaining the 501(c)(3) status was paramount in forming the Enchanting Bookmobile in order to establish the organization as a charitable non-stock corporation, meaning that no profits can be used for personal gain and must be given back to the community in which the bookmobile serves. Having the official nonprofit status will allow the Enchanting Bookmobile to navigate connections more easily to community resource centers and other local organizations that will help in hosting events. Nonprofit organizations strengthen communities and are merely the voice of the people it serves. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Department of Treasury confirmed 501 (c)(3) status May 7th, 2019. The bookmobile volunteers would like to send a huge thanks to the help of Johnson & Johnson Attorneys At Law, P.C. Having set up the Enchanting Bookmobile as a 501(c)(3) allows for all donations and contributions made to the organization to be tax deductible for the donors. Fundraising is a key component to how nonprofits operate, and none of this would be possible without your generosity.
