My greatest interest is working with children and adolescents and their families in the community setting. I am a social worker who has served the Greater Richmond area for 10+ years. It is an important mission to serve children and families with educational, informational, and entertainment needs while offering a diverse and inclusive collection that reflects the neighborhoods being served. The Enchanting Bookmobile aims to offer windows into, and mirrors of, the vast array of perspectives and stories that make up our great region. The mobile library concept is extremely important to ensure access to children's books in neighborhoods affected by transportation barriers and hardest hit by poverty. All children and families have rights to a free and appropriate education and each community member should stand unified behind this goal. I have vowed an oath to advocate for social justice, embrace the dignity and worth of each person, serve with integrity and competence, and promote the importance of human relationships. I will continue to serve the Greater Richmond area for years to come and am grateful for this opportunity to connect with community members and help get books to the next generation of leaders and professionals.
