Honoring Juneteenth

Our organization honors this important holiday as it commemorates the end of slavery in the USA. It is significant because on that day in 1865, word reached enslaved individuals in Texas that they were free. We will continue to honor this important day each year and look forward to working alongside community partners and neighborhoods to help inform us of how we can best continue to recognize Juneteenth.
