Bus Drive Now

Getting books to the children is no easy feat! This will take a lot of work to take the mission to the road and get books in the hands of children. We will need help from each of you in reaching these goals. From the outset of this journey the bookmobile was established to get children motivated to read. What better way to get them excited than to arrive in their neighborhood where they can come aboard the Enchanting Bookmobile and explore the magic of books. We have envisioned bright colored murals on the sides of the bus to include fantasy creatures emerging from opened pages in books, underwater and outer space scenes, and story-book characters. The Enchanting Bookmobile volunteers are eager to engage with local Richmond artists to help in the design and painting of the bus. 

Bus purchase goal is $5,000, but the journey does not end there, the next steps are to design, paint, outfit with shelves, and get it loaded with books and ready to hit the road. Email campaigns, thank you letters to donors with tax exempt receipts, and continual blogs and website updates will occur to keep the donors informed. Stay tuned for updates as these milestones of our journey are met! There is such joy in giving and knowing that you were a part of such a critical mission in the Enchanting Bookmobile’s journey to deliver books. There are tax incentives to financial donations, public recognition if the donor would like, the list goes on and on. Sometimes, one community needs to come forward and support a common goal.
